Ed Nolan’s journey in the construction and real estate industries began in his teens, working as a laborer on commercial projects while still in high school. After earning a 2-year degree in Business Management Technology, he joined a small custom builder in New Jersey. Demonstrating significant growth and capability, Ed eventually purchased the company, focusing on custom homes and pre-engineered steel buildings. He later sold this business and co-founded a wood flooring and renovation company.
Seeking greater opportunities, Ed relocated to Florida. He joined a franchised home building company, where his exceptional performance earned him the position of executive within the franchise system.
Ed’s career continued to flourish as he undertook major projects such as developing a private college in Naples, FL, completing a custom home subdivision, and managing a 133-unit condominium project. During this time, he also acquired his certified residential building license for Florida.
For nine years, Ed worked in the ultra-high-end custom home sector. He managed his own community and later transitioned to the role of director of purchasing, where he was responsible for vetting and negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers. During this period, he obtained both his Florida certified general contractor’s license and his real estate sales associate license.
Later, Ed partnered with Luis to establish US Building Group and US Group Realty. Under their leadership, the company grew into a well-known and respected entity in trim, metal framing, drywall, and stucco services. Ed achieved his Florida real estate broker’s license during this time.
Upon retirement, Ed and his wife Kim embarked on a dream adventure, sailing through the Florida Keys and up the East Coast of the United States before settling in Marathon, FL.
